Dave himself is a Superkart Driver, still competing at the highest level and has been involved in Superkart Racing for more than three decades, and is dedicated to helping improve the sport, which was one of the reasons he formed his own company to help advance the sport from the inside. Over the years Dave has created some fantastic relationships within the UK / Europe and worldwide; with Governing Bodies; World websites; UK Clubs; Superkart Teams; Manufacturers and Suppliers. He therefore has a wealth of information and experience on Superkart racing, and has invested a lot of time and money in the latest Dynapro tm Dynamometer and load test equipment including Ramair up to 155mph to help with the R&D of pressurised airbox systems , whilst working with and alongside many top UK and European Superkart teams and the VM engine manufacturers, Dave wants to help pass on this knowledge, to help new drivers steer clear of the many pitfalls of racing and the costs involved.
Since beginning in 1984 in Kart Racing, Dave has been and still is, involved in the forefront of the development and manufacturing of motor sport products; from the smallest part to the largest welded items. His company manufactures and supplies all types of motor sport fabricated parts and development parts worldwide.
Dave has and still does competed in British & European level Superkart Racing; gaining consistent reliability including many highly placed finishes, wins and podiums to date. He holds the DIV 1 British Championship for the 2008/2009 and 2018 Seasons ; photo of Dave on the winner’s podium at Le Mans circuit in France.
Division One Superkarts are THE Premier Class in the European Superkart scene and features karts with twin-cylinder 250cc engines; with recorded speeds of well over 150mph and hold the outright lap record at various UK and European circuits.
David Coulthard once described driving a Superkart as “one of the most frightening things I have ever had to do”.
It’s a well-known fact that Nigel Mansell raced 210 gearbox karts on the Long Circuits long before going on to win the Formula 1 World Championship in 1992.
Donington Park hosts the British round of the FIA-CIK European Superkart championship along with the MSA British Super Kart Grand Prix; and the karts race on many British Racing Circuits such as Silverstone; Snetterton; Thruxton; Donington Park; Oulton Park; Croft; Darley Moor; Castle Combe; Pembrey and Bishopscourt in Northern Ireland.
Dave is very well-known within the world of Superkarts, and still competes at his local circuit of Cadwell Park in Lincolnshire; as well as other circuits. Cadwell is famous for Super Bikes & Superkarts, and, even if you’re not into motorbike/kart racing, one visit to Cadwell will change your mind – thus speaks the voice of authority – it certainly got this author hooked! The thrills, the spills, all go towards the raising of one’s adrenalin levels! Magic!!
